Advisors:
The initiating advisors of Beta Tau (Colony) Chapter of Chi Alpha Epsilon were a group of Gulf Coast Community College instructors who fell in love with the idea of recognizing the academic achievement of the college prep students they taught, guided, and mentored each day. The advisors began holding meetings in February 2001, once a Gulf Coast Community College Foundation Mini-grant was approved to organize the society. The first meeting with prospective students was held on March 9, 2001. Since that time, these advisors have remained energized and enthusiastic about this grand opportunity to give college preparatory students well-deserved recognition and a place in campus life.
